the writing in this book is top tier. unfortunately for all other books I ever read, my standard of writing will be based off of miss Daphne’s writing style.

also, all i can think about whenever the main fmc has her internal dialogue with everyone around her acting weird is “why are you all acting weird towards me?”

i don’t trust that skank bitch Mrs. Danvers AT ALL. girl you better watch out girl

i’m a simple girl. you write sentences with pretty words and i’ll eat it up every single time. i have a feeling this is going to be one of my all time favorites books 🙂‍↕️
