This never happens but I am actually enjoying the middle of this book so much! Usually it’s a like sandwich with a plowing on through the middle… or some rendition of this.
It reminds me for some reason of East of Eden, maybe the era. I’m not sure.
It’s like the Snow Child and East of Eden made a baby.
