Truly atrocious- both its simplistic writing and how Judge Belvin Perry, Jr. claims to want to be known for more than “being presiding judge of the Casey Anthony” trial - then makes ~175/336 pages of the book solely about Casey. Complete disregard for impartiality, far-too-enthusiastic support of death penalty. I figured I should read the entirety of this awful book if I wanted my review taken seriously.

I’m actually finished, but since my whole point of reading this all the way through was to do an honest review, I’ll post that I’m finished when I’m ready to post the review with. At least I’ve actually marked passages this time) probably way too many!), but it saves me the time of having to go back and look for everything!

Reading through his earliest trials as a prosecutor and the discrimination he faced growing up in Orlando in the 60s was the most interesting (sad, but inspiring) part of this book. But now p.160-324 is all about Casey Anthony again. It was strange to me how he said earlier in the book that the death penalty is a deterrent, but his only claim supporting this is that “it would deter him.” 🤦🏼♀️
