When rereading my favourite books, I end up taking something slightly different from them each time and noticing new things. This time, the stand out for me is just how *funny* I Capture the Castle is. I'd forgotten just how brilliant the turns of phrase are - no it's not laugh out loud hilarious all the way through, but it is so wry and so exquisitely written as to keep making me smile.
