How is this book so much fun?

I'm in the crappy position of needing to know how this ends and also wanting to read it slowly so it never ends.

I cannot wait for Calliope and Tina to meet.

Tina is my favorite.

What if Deep Space 9 were sentient? And only had 3 humans? And someone did a murder that almost killed the sentient station?
