Okay, Marion is a bit rough, rough and mean. What on earth did this man do is what I'm wondering.

Good stuff. I like the main character so far. Clearly he's got wisdom, he's got pride. It sounds like he's a man on a mission, eye on the prize. Although there is that melancholic drizzle out there; yeah, I doubt things will completely work out but I'll root for him
