Maybe it’s a function of the fact that I’m reading this book almost ten years after it was published, but I get the feeling Cathy O’Neil thinks she’s blowing the lid off of something super scandalous and revealing and she just… isn’t. She doesn’t go deep enough! This is already stuff I know!

So far I have not encountered anything I did not already know… I’ve been beaten over the head with exposés about 2008 and the nefarious instruments underpinning it for like six years at this point.
