Some of these stories are good, some not so good. Hemingway conveys a sense of being there with many of his stories. his style can seem brief, almost terse. One of his early jobs was as a reporter, and I don't think he ever stopped being one.

This is another attempt at finding a collection of short stories to read in the evening to help us settle down. Too many of these stories lacked the sense of detail, of being fleshed out. I believe Mr. Hemingway was at heart a newspaper reporter/magazine article writer, and too many of these short stories took on that style. I've

I am reading the Finca Vigia edition but couldn't figure out how to put the title up. This is a paperback edition and I wish the print was larger. I enjoy his stories, and his style of writing. .......Sister Gertrude Miriam, this book's for you.
