I was 6 when Aaliyah died. I have no recollection of her death or 9/11 (didn’t learn about it until the 7th grade, but that’s for a different day).

The author said in the beginning of the book that she wasn’t gonna talk about Aaliyah’s relationship with him. I get that. But why am I getting a mini bio about the man? Just say he mentored her and move awn 😕
