I don’t know how but I’m pretty sure the first book I’ll finish in over a month and a half is about to be a reread of this dark, upsetting and cynical story that always leaves me feeling like I need a cold shower (why the fuck do I keep doing this to myself?)

I swear to GOD Stan Carlisle is going to be the death of me.

At first I was a little worried about the slow pace. But this is noir after all, and the intrigue is front and center. A nice assortment of fascinating characters, each with their own backstories and conflicts.
