I feel sorry for Sam. He can't stay in his tree anymore. If I were him I might run away again. I wonder where his father is going to work because they don't live in the city anymore I also wonder if building a house is legal. There are hikers passing through making the mountain seem like a national park.

I wonder why Sam has become so brave around people. At the beginning of the story, whenever a person was in the forest, he would hide. But he just walked up to somebody. I'm wondering if he wants to be caught. Also what changed his mind about people? Was it Bando?

I would be so frightend if I was in Sam's situation with all the exploding trees. I wonder why the trees explode lik e that with all the ice on their branches. Maybe because they branches are cracking under the weight.

I think because of so many visitors, I would be very cramped in the tree. Also, I think that Sam should make another house in another hemlock for his dad or Bando.

I could visually see someone in a deer skin outfit walking on the street. I would've stared strangely. I thing Sam wants to be in human company even though he didn't want to be in the book. I think this because he said, 'I kept pretending I was going to the library...but I knew it was closed."

Perfect timing. I read this a couple days after Halloween and the time in the story is now Halloween. Sam has now been on the mountain for 10 months I wouldn't have made it a week. I predict that Sam is going to have a feast of nuts because he just stocked up a humongous pile of acorns and walnuts.

I realized that ever since Bando came and kept Sam company, Sam doesn't spend time with Frightful, The Baron and Jessie Coon James. Even though that Bando kept Sam company, the animals don't spend time with Sam anymore. Part of me wants Bando to stay but part of me want's him to leave.

I would be scared as well. Sam was all alone and know somebody talked to him. I picture as Molly from HARRY POTTER. I picture her as this because it describes her as a 'little, old lady' but I make her a little chubby lady. She's wearing a pale blue bonnet which seems old fashionned.

I think it is very cool that he made a hook out of wood. I think that it will break though because he tied the hook together with green bark and I think that's not very strong enough.
