First of all, Drew's little sister looks a bit uncanny on the cover.
Secondly, the beginning of this book is very exposition-y and the high school seems unnecessarily cruel. From page 1, Drew's dad is textbook abusive. I recognize people I know in him. That doesn't mean he's a great character, though. An effective antagonist, maybe, but no Darth Vader.
Yes, this is a reread.
