not really enjoying this so far. it isn't anything particularly novel, and it has this strangely outside-looking-in tone towards its one black woman side character. isn't the mc supposed to be black ? plus, world-building wise, wouldn't it make sense to have atl a few fat bloodmaids ? i'm not a big fan of the dynamic between the mc and her li too. still, we'll see where this goes
