This book is honestly torturous to read. It’s repetitive and I’m forcing my way through it.

“Though I never established the Muse brothers’ paternity with certainty, months later I discovered the name of their paternal grandmother…”
Huh?
Why is the writing so confusing? Just tell us their story, not the long winding road to get there. These could have been footnotes on the research.

John Owens Beth Macy lives an hour or so down 81 from me. She’s done a lot of events here so I have all of her stuff. I’m looking forward to her memoir, Paper Girl, that’s getting ready to come out.

Amanda I’m on the fence with the book so far. A lot her notes about the process of gathering the info feel clunky and I wish she’d included them in a prologue at the end.
