I don’t know what happened but suddenly in this last 4th of the book there was an attempted rape, a wedding, French and (implied) Mexican spies, three sex scenes, and a murder. Like everything just came crashing down and I’m just so lost

Not the best engagement proposal but thank god their relationship is finally progressing

I keep going back and forth on if the political topics brought up in this book are worded well or too cliche-ly for its age-range. The wording feels like a YA novel but I know it’s not. It’s ok for now, but I’m waiting for something interesting to happen.

I’ve picked up this book with the intention to read it at least ten times now, and each time I’ve found something more interesting instead. This book haunts me on my shelf and I can’t take it anymore.
