This book mesmerized me. I had never heard of this tragedy, it is just horrific. The way this book was written from the child’s POV made it that much more heart wrenching. It was beautifully written even how awful the subject is. It has prompted me to investigate into history and read more about this and the bombing of this rescue boat. Just sickening
