A fairytale-esque story, including magic used for good and evil. Ildiko and Brishen being the marvelous creatures they are. A 4.5 stars, until the epilogue sealed the deal.

So happy I am finally able to read this novella and happier still, that it is not as disappointing as the third installment of the Wraith Kings. I have missed Ildiko and Brishen, and am happy with how captivating the story is so far.
