Eryk Pruitt's story perhaps is the best short story I've read in 2016. The man has crazy narrative command and he's only getting better. Will Viharo's metafictional Scarface/Miami Vice mashup also was very cool.

Sam Wiebe's pro wrestling story is a bit of an acquired taste, but it was fun because it wasn't about the eighties in themselves. There are some gimmickier stories also, but it was to be expected.

These have been blissfully self-aware, so far. No easy gimmicks, they got the eighties logic down as well as the style. Particularly liked Kat Richardson's opener.
