two books in two days using the term "manic pixie" to describe a female character. i had an issue when a female author used it, but a male author using it (and seemingly NOT KNOWING WHAT IT MEANS) is truly indefensible

i think the large part of the aggression i feel for sager is because i feel he *fundamentally* does not understand women and women adjacent people's points of view. and he ALWAYS writes from a woman's pov. it doesn't feel believable, because sager doesn't understand what the fuck he's talking about
