This is probably the best book I've deliberately chosen to DNF. I read about 1/3 and I'm confident that it will be somewhere between fine and decent, but at this point I just don't care to continue. Perhaps when the full trilogy is out, but there is something just a bit too contrived about the plot and writing, at both the micro- and macro-level.
