Oh darn. I hope it gets better for you. I listened to the audiobook version, not sure if that factors in to my enjoyment of it or not.

I don’t remember it being terribly fast paced. Okay, I think I am remembering how it’s starts…something with the buffalo or some other animal? Agreed, it’s an odd start if I am remembering right.

Yes, something to do with an animal and waiting for a boat. Usually, books start off with a bang. But this is one of my favorite authors, so all is forgiven lol
