Life of Jan when he was in Norway sucked. He was constantly on the edge of life and death. First, he lost all his crew, then he had to go on the run. He got frostbite on his feet. He had gingivitis, I think. He had to rely on people to survive. When they left him for some time, he cut off all his toes to stop the infection. Then he was too weak to commit sucideand he starved a lot in his life story. His life was bad.

He fell down a hill, got frostbite, and lost consciousness. After reaching a house for help, he was left on the mountain. Snow cover him, and he waited to be rescued. The man return with food and then left.

A conflict arises when one ship attacks them.they blow the explosives which fails the mission and kills most people involved. The main character then tries to evade the Germans, receiving help from locals while hiding his identity as an Englishman to protect them from Nazi inquiries.
