Personally I'd say if you can calm down that totally wild horse and that horse knows you, that's proof it's yours. Because no wild horse is going to let some stranger near it. This may be the Phantom, but it's like the Black. Only Alec could ride the Black.

This is the horse book I took with me up and back to the ranch today. Really enjoying it so far. It's quite the modern western with Sam and her father moving cattle across huge pieces of land and she hopes to find her horse Blackie again (who had run away two years ago).
