on the second read, im thinking about specifically this grief of “there is a perfect copy of you. which should make me hate it, but i hang onto it instead because I’d rather be with some kind of monstrosity than alone.” Clinging to a memory type beat. Anyway. Makes me think abt how it feels to lose a friend/lover not to death but to a different life. where they go on without you. same sickening grief perhaps
