Industrial Revolution setting, fantasy caper. Magic system founded on inscribed codes that shape reality. Not super original but well done. Compelling underdog hero and band of misfits go on a caper. Nothing super new but all really fun and well done. A little too much revealed toward the end imo, limits excitement for rest of series.
