Ok, so it turns out this is an actual tale of two boys who grow up to become internationally recognised in imitating bird calls. Humans are incredible. I am really enjoying the weirdness of this little book and their journey. Finding out it is a sort of biography of their experience makes it even more special.

During COVID, I really got into learning about and watching the local birds and thought this would be a fun story about birds. So far... I like birds but this book REALLY likes birds haha. I'm not really sure what I expected but so far this is clearly defining for me the difference between enjoying birds and being a Bird Person. It's relatively short and even though I'm not totally into it, I'm in for the ride.
