Gay and lesbian people are certainly accused of going through a phase by many in broader society? Feel like a clarification that Eisner was talking about inter-queer discourse would be useful here (and it probably still wouldn’t be true even then.)

Hm an uncritical usage of Adrienne Rich’s (transphobic) theories. I get that the notion clearly means a lot to the author, it’s just something I personally dislike.
