Rory Albertini a frequent character in previous books now has his turn. We know he has some secret job and tells everyone he works for the forest service. Unfortunately this is what he told his irish fiancee and when she find out he lied she dumps him. He gives her till New Year's to "deal" with it and she tells him it's over and to get lost.
