There is also a tendency to romanticize some idea of Spanish culture, which again, I don't trust when the authors don't share that identity.

Authors keep conflating Arab and Muslim.

I picked this up not realizing that the authors aren't fluent in Spanish. I do think I see errors, and I don't really trust their nuance in translating.

Interesting history, really intertwined to think about the fluidity of borders and language and culture.
