I’m trying so hard to like this book. It started off with great detail and painted the picture of Malibu, but the characters are so embarrassingly clueless and one-dimensional. It’s like they’re all simpletons that know nothing despite being close to 40 and working professionals. I will continue on but the plot is thick with cheese and hoping it turns the corner.

more than halfway now, but wow these characters are atrocious; a bunch of simple-minded 40 year olds obsessed with their siblings. And both female leads are made out to be total clueless morons who are obsessed with not having gone to college. There’s a sentence where Beth says “I hope this sandwich doesn’t upset my tummy”. Yikes. Is this book for toddlers? Please get better asap
