I've decided to do a tour of the Bronte novels, most of which I haven't read before. (I will skip Jane Eyre, because I've read that one - which is my favorite book - about 12 times.) I have read Wuthering Heights too, but it was 25 years ago, and there was a lot of skimming going on. I'll finish Charlotte's novels next, then read Anne's. I am skipping the poetry because even the Brontes can't get me reading that.

I remember reading Wuthering Heights in high school and thinking that it was a MESS even back then, LOL. I just can't with all the people who call it the ultimate romantic story - like dudes, have you even been paying attention?!

Let us know if you appreciate something you missed on the first run. I'm with EuroHackie in remembering this story as pretty awful.
