Grief heavy reflections

I got half way through this book years ago before losing my copy of the book. I finally have gotten around to repurchasing because I remember liking what I had read so far and I’ve been reminded why.
The main character talks about how he remembers people for years even if he never really spoke to or interacted with them and I’m very similar. Just a close connection that makes me feel a welcome kindness to it
