I have finished the book. It was very enjoyable, although sad at some points. For Instance, when her daughter died at only the age of 11. However, It was very interesting to read about the first American-born saint!

Mother Seton( who is not a sister yet) now has a a teaching job at some local schools. Also, her young sister-in-law joined the church, against her family approving.

Mother Seton has just gone to St. Peter's to ask the priest for instruction to enter the Church. However, everyone she knows in New York is now scorning her for entering. One woman even wrote her out of this woman's will!

Elizabeth is now leaving Italy to go back to the U.S.. However, while staying in Italy, she was introduced to the Catholic Faith.

Right now Elizabeth and her family are in Italy. They are there because the doctors think the fresh air will help her husband. I chose to read this particular saint because, like St. Katherine Drexel, she grew up in America. She was even the first natural born saint for the US!
