I have to apologize to my book club for picking this one - the trauma!

The way so many immigrants come to English speaking countries with their noses high in the air, speaking rudely and disrespectfully about others in their face, all the while being oblivious to whether or not people can understand them or if they even care to is beyond me. As many countries as I visited, I could not imagine being that way.

Now, I don't know if this book will go into details about what Babs did, in the past, to traumatize Lori. However, just based on what I do know, it seems as if someone is becoming increasingly cutthroat and throwing caution to the wind, like her cold-hearted mother.
