Worth and Pol decide if Worth will ask to be released. Luc and Charlotte arrive, and Worth agrees to go with them to Sand Manor to settle some wraiths— he’s at peace now and wants to continue with being a member of the Order.

Three months later, Charlotte and Luc are settling into their new positions at court and are St Claire’s memorial. She asks Luc to come home with her to Sand Manor, a proposal.

After the coronation and the party, Charlotte finds Luc in the library. He’s worried people will be afraid of him, now, she’s not. He told he loved her & she never responded, so she does now. They start to have a spicy scene, but are interrupted by a maid, who rushes off. Luc isn’t afraid of himself any more.

The gang gathers for the funeral pyres, and Charlotte tells Micah that she’s here when he’s ready to talk. Artus has archers release flaming arrows onto the piles of dead to lay their bodies to rest.

In Luc’s chambers, Worth apologizes for handing young Luc over, letting him grow up away from Sand Manor, and letting him fall into Lorraine’s clutches. It’s a beautiful moment between the two. Luc begins to chose wardrobe for Artus’ coronation but his wardrobe seems red. Hortense comes by with a wrapped package and they discuss the colors and what they represent. H tells him she doesn’t sense fear in…

A few days later at the peace talks the BROULLIARD emissary gets told by Artus he wants peace, but nothing else. The same emissary tells Luc to come home with his power he could claim the rights to the throne, seeing their king has no heir. Luc refuses. Sequel series?

Micah survived and is in the infirmary wing. He wakes up to Rene waiting on him, and Rene is proud to be paired with him. Cora arrives, and he apologizes for killing her father for choosing the cardinal over the 🤴 & 👸, but she points out her father could have used her as a pawn, but her father let her make up her own mind, at least. They smell vanilla, and Micah’s gut clenches.

Luc asks Charlotte for her calming ability while he wields larger numbers. At first, it works, but there’s still a strength to the wraiths. Charlotte tells Luc to try empathy, and Luc finds it by taking her hand, and he can feel her power. He feels all their pain and they suddenly dip in acquiescence to Luc.

Luc courageously asks Worth to destroy him if his attempt at wielding the Broulliard wraith army goes wrong. Worth agrees, and Luc makes the attempt. At first, it feels like they want to overwhelm him and turn him into something evil, but he remember the lullaby his mother sang to him, to warn him against becoming the corrupt Broulliard King, and he wields the entire Army.
