So far my book is very interesting. Right off the bat it was fast paced, and mysterious, making me want to read more. There is a slight twist in the plot, hinting at the climb to the climax. I like how the book jumps from the timeline being then and now showing how it was before she was gone.

I really like how my book is going now. After finding out that Poppy's mom, Noelle, was Ellie's math tutor before her disappearance, Laurel starts to question how innocent Noelle was: "In the scheme of things it is far more likely that the monster in Noelle's basement was actually twenty dead hamsters, not Ellie" (Jewell 216). I think in this next part of the book, we will find out Noelle is the reason Ellie is gone.

This book is great so far. Laurel is trying to find a way to live without her daughter Ellie, who randomly vanished a few years ago. Laurel met a kind man at a coffee shop and they hit it off. One thing that threw Laurel off is how similar his daughter is to Ellie. "She doesn't say, You look just like my lost girl...instead she says, 'You remind me of someone. Sorry!'" (Jewell 79). This adds a fun twist to the plot.
