My genre of my book is realistic fiction this is because it talks about baseball which is a real world thing and this quote in the book "A boy with a golden arm but no money for lessons. A mother who wants to give her son his dream before she dies." I know this is realistic fiction because it can happen and its about baseball to top it off.

STATIC vs. Dynamic Character: Ricky is a Dynamic Character because on page 180'' I'm in the waiting room and I'm nervous, man I hate hospitals. To me it's where people go to get operated on and die''. Ricky throughout the book is never nervous. He always finds a way to calm down but on page 183 It says'' How did you sleep Ricky"? ''good" "Are you hungry"? Not really ". This shows that he changes throughout the book.

CONFLICT: The conflict right now is that Ricky is pitching in his team's playoffs, and he has baseball loaded. The kid he's up against hit a home run last inning off Ricky's teammate. Ricky is scared, but his mom tries to calm him down. Ricky's coach calls "time" and walks up to him. He says, "Kid, you've got this. Block out all the fans and just focus on the batter, not the baserunners." Alright team we got this.

PREDICTIONS: In my book (The Pitcher), I feel like the next thing that will happen is that Ricky's mom is going to get MLB tickets. On page 152, it says that Ricky's mom discovered that she was dating an MLB player. Also, the MLB was Ricky's old baseball coach. The reason I feel that my Prediction is going to happen is because the MLB player said how nice it is to go to an MLB game. Then Ricky said he wanted to go.

POV: The point of view in my book is 1st person. It focus on a Mexican kid who has problems. They use a lot of first person words.“I tightened my grip on the ball, feeling the sweat trickle down my fingers. This game was everything to me, and I knew I couldn’t let my team down. As I took a deep breath, I reminded myself, You’ve got this.” I and my are keying that it is first person.

PROTAGONIST: The story focuses on a young boy named Jimmy who is described as an energetic and athletic boy who plays baseball. The story ehmpathies his physical ability for pitching. His language reflects his youthful empathy. People think hes a "Mexican wetback" and often make fun of him for being poor. He gets mistreated because he dressed like a homeless person. His mom tries to work her heart out.

There's a boy and he has a arm and he wants to try baseball because at a carnival game he plays and wins. The game basically makes you throw a ball in a hole.
