Eli Escobar is finished with Never Finished: Unshackle Your Mind and Win the War Within
VISUALIZE:I finished the David Goggins book, and at the end, he says to a group of teens," People don't care what you do, it's only you that cares." I interpret this quote to mean that if you achieve something, no one else will care. It would only be you who cares the most. David Goggins finishes another 140-mile race, but this time, he is injured even more. I feel like you would be very tired. 140 miles is a lot.

Making Predictions:, David Goggins just got MRI scans for his left knee. The results said that he had 8 problems with his knee. There were multiple tears, cartilage break, etc. Before that though he was going to run a triathlon. My prediction is that he's going to push through the pain and run it because his famous quote is to stay hard. On Page '199' the doctor is speaking" Im afraid Goggins is still going to run".

Making Connections: I see the Book Never Finished kind of relating to my life because David Goggins is basically me. We are athletic, and we are hard. We have an unfinished mindset, and we go crazy about uncompleted work. He hated school, but I liked it because I enjoy learning. So maybe we are different in that way, but otherwise, the same parents, same sibling, and they are pushing you to be the best.

His sergeant is Sergeant Grant. He disciplines David and tells him he can't be wearing baggy clothes. On page 139, it says," I grew into a rebellious teenager. I sagged my pants down, flipped the middle finger at authority".

SUMMARY: David Goggins is running his third race, and the last time he ran a race was in 2017. However, it's now 2020, and he will be running a 200-mile race. He completed it in 22:55:44, which was terrible compared to his 2017 run. He was pissed, and the next day he ran on the treadmill for 8 hours straight. He said there's no 'I can't' in 'can'. David said he is one of the hardest people out there in the world.

I read David Goggins and got really far on the book, for most of the time you were gone I was sick. But in the Book Never Finshed, David goggins is running a 100 mile race and he is supposed to be running it with teammates but he's running it by him self. He place 33 out of 83. He had serve athletes feet after.

Visualize: Thomas is escaping the maze but unexpectedly Chuck gets shot by Gally, Thomas screams but it was too late chuck died to Thomas's arms. At that same time Gally was left to be eaten by the grivers. You can tell that the author made it where Thomas acted like Chuck was still with them because while they are on their mission to escape he has a dream where chuck is still alive. The dream show ,Thomas the maze.

TEXT TO SELF: The Scorch trials, reminds me of me when its the weekend. The reason why I say this is because in the book Thomas the main character is kind of lost in what too to(basically bored). When I was reading this book I instantly found that I am very bored on the weekend and kind of lost also Thomas is suffering with sad moments and I also related this to me. I instantly connected this character with me.

CHARACTERIZATION: In this book, Thomas was scared, he is scared because of all the people that died right in front of him by grievers. Thomas is resting because after the complicated maze he finished with the other shanks. He is exhausted after all that running. Thomas says" we are free, no more worries, no more grievers, no more death". Thomas is still thinking about Chuck who got stabbed in the chest.

ANTAGONIST: In booked, i would say the mom is the antagonist right now in the story because she yells at the kids and she tells them demanding orders which is mean but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I think later in the book there will be a different antagonist because i am barely on page 15 so there is still a whole lot in the book.

STATIC vs. Dynamic Character: Ricky is a Dynamic Character because on page 180'' I'm in the waiting room and I'm nervous, man I hate hospitals. To me it's where people go to get operated on and die''. Ricky throughout the book is never nervous. He always finds a way to calm down but on page 183 It says'' How did you sleep Ricky"? ''good" "Are you hungry"? Not really ". This shows that he changes throughout the book.

CONFLICT: The conflict right now is that Ricky is pitching in his team's playoffs, and he has baseball loaded. The kid he's up against hit a home run last inning off Ricky's teammate. Ricky is scared, but his mom tries to calm him down. Ricky's coach calls "time" and walks up to him. He says, "Kid, you've got this. Block out all the fans and just focus on the batter, not the baserunners." Alright team we got this.

PREDICTIONS: In my book (The Pitcher), I feel like the next thing that will happen is that Ricky's mom is going to get MLB tickets. On page 152, it says that Ricky's mom discovered that she was dating an MLB player. Also, the MLB was Ricky's old baseball coach. The reason I feel that my Prediction is going to happen is because the MLB player said how nice it is to go to an MLB game. Then Ricky said he wanted to go.

POV: The point of view in my book is 1st person. It focus on a Mexican kid who has problems. They use a lot of first person words.“I tightened my grip on the ball, feeling the sweat trickle down my fingers. This game was everything to me, and I knew I couldn’t let my team down. As I took a deep breath, I reminded myself, You’ve got this.” I and my are keying that it is first person.

PROTAGONIST: The story focuses on a young boy named Jimmy who is described as an energetic and athletic boy who plays baseball. The story ehmpathies his physical ability for pitching. His language reflects his youthful empathy. People think hes a "Mexican wetback" and often make fun of him for being poor. He gets mistreated because he dressed like a homeless person. His mom tries to work her heart out.

My genre of my book is realistic fiction this is because it talks about baseball which is a real world thing and this quote in the book "A boy with a golden arm but no money for lessons. A mother who wants to give her son his dream before she dies." I know this is realistic fiction because it can happen and its about baseball to top it off.

There's a boy and he has a arm and he wants to try baseball because at a carnival game he plays and wins. The game basically makes you throw a ball in a hole.
