Visualize: Thomas is escaping the maze but unexpectedly Chuck gets shot by Gally, Thomas screams but it was too late chuck died to Thomas's arms. At that same time Gally was left to be eaten by the grivers. You can tell that the author made it where Thomas acted like Chuck was still with them because while they are on their mission to escape he has a dream where chuck is still alive. The dream show ,Thomas the maze.

Summary: The main character are Thomas, Newt ,Minho and Terssa. The story is about The group is escaping the maze and going onto there life. In a maze/desert. Newt gets stabbed in the chest right in front of Thomas, The group escapes the maze and is onto their life. Newt gets stabbed by an infected person, they escape and get help from other groups. It is told in a chronological narrative.

TEXT TO SELF: The Scorch trials, reminds me of me when its the weekend. The reason why I say this is because in the book Thomas the main character is kind of lost in what too to(basically bored). When I was reading this book I instantly found that I am very bored on the weekend and kind of lost also Thomas is suffering with sad moments and I also related this to me. I instantly connected this character with me.

CHARACTERIZATION: In this book, Thomas was scared, he is scared because of all the people that died right in front of him by grievers. Thomas is resting because after the complicated maze he finished with the other shanks. He is exhausted after all that running. Thomas says" we are free, no more worries, no more grievers, no more death". Thomas is still thinking about Chuck who got stabbed in the chest.
