I’m in Chapter 5, the final one of Part 1, Human Networks. The title is: Decisions: A Brief History of Democracy & Totalitarianism. The Prologue was an hour long. The first four chapters of Part 1 laid groundwork: What is Information, Storytelling as information sharing, Documentation as record keeping, and Errors: The Fantasy of Infallibility.

Yuval knows this stuff and is a great historian and researcher.

Will be starting this on audio. I read the author’s earlier book, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, and it was extraordinary. I am hopeful this book will be as great. If so, I might have to put Yuval Noah Harari on my list of “5 famous people I would invite to a dinner party” list. I’ve seen him interviewed and he’s witty as well as knowledgeable.
