Honestly, Immortal Dark feels less like a book and more like I’m reading stage directions. It’s all heavy description and drawn-out details that slow everything down — I feel like I’m watching scenes instead of living in them. The vibe is surface-level when what I want from fantasy is to fully escape. I keep craving more depth, more emotion, more pull me in and don’t let go moments.

48% and this FMC is testing my patience 😮💨 The prose has its moments, but her whiny dialogue makes her insufferable — and stuck in her POV, there’s no escape. I keep zoning out, rereading the same page like maybe it’ll glow-up on round three. Holding out for that post-climax magic, but right now it’s giving homework with a side of whining. Girl, I did not sign up for this.
