read a bunch of this at the library whilst there was a baby group on, so they were all 'winding the bobbin up' whilst Sophie got ready for her work trip

aspects of this remind me of being on the island of lundy

Lost some motivation to read this, but it's super engaging, despite how the author writes women

I was reading this on my work break last night, where I was sat in the cold in the doorway around the back of a wedding whilst a cat stole my water and Mambo No.5 and Livin' La Vida Loca where blasted back to back in the mainspace, which I can't help but think probably wasn't the ambience the author would have intended for this

bits of this really remind me of Coraline, although they may just be common tropes
eg being unable to escape/ ending up back where she started and the strange lil corn doll following her around

this is getting bamboozling
