While Tolkien's descriptions of the landscape can be rather lengthy, it's still astounding that he could picture Middle Earth so well that he could go into that level of detail!

I’m doing the same thing (except without the audiobook bc I have a harder time focusing with those 🤪)! High five for Tolkien September. ☺️
