I can't believe this thing is 350 pages...

Umm, the opening is pretty abrupt, no lead in and seems pretty ridiculous, not sure where this is going but straight up gave me the Beetlejuice couple are in a haunted house and now the husband is missing and the wife is like, "meh" vibes, I'm not scared, I'm not intrigued, I'm just reading cause I bought the thing so far.
