I’m sorry to say that I have to DNF if this one. I’ve enjoyed some of Backman’s material in the past, so I’ve been surprised that Anxious People is turning me off.

The dialogue between characters is too quippy to be believable, and it’s actually annoying me a little bit.

This book just feels like it’s trying a bit too hard.
