wow those two chapters on kikomi… that’s how u write a woman without pandering to stereotypes while simultaneously being aware of them and how they can be subverted with just her thoughts to write a complex character

genuinely was gonna drop this book because it was too rushed… im not fond of time jumps and important events get summarized or stated in one single sentence (how this one character suddenly becomes an amazing bandit leader 🤨 from a purposeless worker, battles, etc.) BUT so many of u guys love it and apparently this is just development for a huge payoff sooo

EXACTLYYY every word u said is on point also i think this may be the slowest i’ve ever seen u read a book bahaha i was waitingg to see if u would like this better
