The whole basis of this book is that he did something wrong when he was a teenager but I cannot for the life of me see what he did being soooo wrong. He helped a 10 year old girl by standing up to her abusive stepfather and she feels .. violated? when she finds out??

Side note the cover doesn’t fit this book at all the book is dark and sad and the cover is not the right energy at all😅
