ive been having a really bad mental health week and the first book really resonated with me but this one isnt rly doing it for me in my current mental state

still don't know how i feel about this book i'm kind of like dot dot dot . idk i feel like it lacks substance somehow [thinking emoji]

i rly just dont know what to make of the romance like what was even the pointtttt is it just to highlight her innocence or what cuz its rly not doing anything for me

i think i realized why nina is rubbing me the wrong way. i feel like they’re emphasizing how sweet and innocent she is and how bad this is bc its happening to an innocent blonde girl. when this and worse happens to nonwhite kids daily in america and its proxies. i would be more interested in commentary on how whats happening to jason is bad even tho he was a “bad kid”. wonder if they’ll go there
