Still not liking it. Sam and Grace are still so boring - I thought for a moment at the beginning there may be SOME kind of conflict, but after a few chapters I knew it was going to revert to the usual mind numbing sweetness. I've started skim reading their chapters. At first I thought Cole and Isabel were going to provide something different - which they did - but they're somehow TOO faux-edgy for me. I can't win

maybe it’s because this book isn’t just stuck in the povs of sam and grace (who i am still struggling to connect with as characters), but this book is already much better than the last one. especially with cole and isabel’s scenes i am starting to feel a little more depth and nuance. it’s still not brilliant, but better.
