Strengths - decent prose, excellent representation of the Coptic diasporic experience, covering difficult topics, genius in naming the chapters after Biblical books and weaving references in seamlessly

Weaknesses - rather judgemental, shallow and close minded depictions of other religions, yoga and philosophy.

- A massive thank you to Monica Hanna for getting me this book!

- As a child of the Coptic Diaspora, this book makes me feel so deeply validated and understood so far.

- Soundtrack for the book - anything by Coptic Oud on Spotify

Mark Rizk Farag Thank you so much Fiza 😁. Do give this one a go if and when you get a chance! The second half is better than the first and it does produce insight into Oriental Orthodoxy faith and theology!
